Professional Highlights 
Professor Daniela Rus brings to the Board more than three decades of experience in senior academic and research leadership in the fields of computer science, robotics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. She has served as a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) since 2004, where she is currently the MIT Panasonic Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (since 2025). As the Director of MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (since 2012), she is responsible for oversight of interdisciplinary research initiatives spanning artificial intelligence, robotics, and computing systems. Professor Rus previously served as the Deputy Dean of Research for MIT’s Schwarzman College of Computing (2019-2022), and earlier in her career, she was a professor in the Computer Science Department at Dartmouth College (1994-2004).

Professor Rus is a MacArthur Fellow, as well as a member of National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Sciences. She has co-founded several technology companies including The Routing Company, Venti Technologies, Themis AI and Liquid AI, and currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Symbotic Inc. (NASDAQ: SYM) (since 2023).
