Biography

Mr. Hall has served as Gartner’s Chief Executive Officer since 2004 and Chairman of the Board since July 2024. Prior to joining Gartner as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hall was a senior executive at Automatic Data Processing, Inc., a Fortune 500 global technology and services company, serving most recently as President, Employers Services Major Accounts Division, a provider of human resources and payroll services. Prior to joining ADP in 1998, Mr. Hall spent 16 years at McKinsey & Company, most recently as Director.

 

As Gartner’s CEO, Mr. Hall is responsible for developing and executing on the Company’s operating plan and business strategies in consultation with the Board of Directors and for driving Gartner’s business and financial performance and is the sole management representative on the Board. Mr. Hall possesses extensive leadership and industry experience, both at and prior to joining Gartner, including a profound knowledge, and understanding of our business, operations, and strategy.
